Bulimba State School's Building the Education Revolution funded multi purpose hall is dishing up a new generation of masterchefs, with the P21 complex featuring an award-wining designed Stephanie Alexander kitchen.
Being part of the National Stephanie Alexander Garden Program, Bulimba State School students are utilising the multi-million-dollar facility in an endeavour of becoming culinary geniuses in their own right.
Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd attended the opening ceremony, congratulating BER for their outstanding contribution to improving school infrastructure as well as stimulating the economy.
"It's a great day of satisfaction, a great day for teachers with their new classroom and new facilities," said Mr Rudd.
"We decided as a government to make a difference, investing in things that matter for the future.
"This makes the task of teaching a little easier, as well as making a difference to the community."
School Principal Michael Zeuschner said students were embracing the school's new BER funded facilities which consisted of the $3,000,001 P21 classroom and multipurpose hall.
He said the multi purpose hall provided panoramic views of the city skyline, the perfect outlook while students were getting their hands dirty in the kitchen.
