Reads the Moderator's help guide on operating a chat room located in the chat room's help section

Checked that I can access the chat room prior to the event

Decided if and when the chat will be moderated.

Posted a welcome message for all participants

Posted some background information about the topic/guest

Contacted the guest/s to ensure they can access the room

Organised a practice chat for the guests

Understood the goal and purpose for the chat

Understood who the audience is

Practiced the processes (eg #kick and #close room)
