How do I get started?

Easy steps to voice (telephone) conferencing

  1. The person who organises a telephone conference is called the 'moderator' and needs a confererence account.
  2. Once you have an account, notify all the people who will be participating in the conference.
  3. Tell them the time, phone number and the participant number to gain access to the room. The moderator and participant passcode will be on the credit card that is issued with the conference account.
  4. Participants ring in at the appointed time.
  5. Participants provide their participant number and then are put on hold until you (the moderator) call the number and enter your special PIN number.
  6. The conference will then start automatically.

You can choose to have the telephone conference terminate when you hang-up or continue on after you have left. This is achieved by having another participant in the conference enter the convenor's PIN number when they log into the conference at the start. As long as there is one 'convenor' in the conference it will continue.

You must not provide this PIN number to anyone as it operates in the same way as any credit card or corporate card. If the card is lost or stolen it cannot be used without the PIN number so your account remains safe.
