Step 2

Select your level of access

Determine the level of access that best suits your university's learning needs for the year.

Level 1: Access to Curriculum Exchange resource centre only [read what's included]
Cost of level 1 access

The annual fee for level 1 access is $2.50 AU (ex GST) per person. The annual fee for level 1 access is based on total faculty or specific cohort of a faculty at one or more campuses.

Your university may have already organised level 1 access to the Curriculum Exchange. Check with your library staff. If this is the case you may only need to organise level 2 access for your students.

Your university will need to nominate a Learning Place Local Administrator (LPLA) to manage staff and student membership through the Learning Place Administration System. Help materials will be provided for the task.

Level 2: Access to the Learning Place (including Curriculum Exchange resource centre) [read what's included]

Pre-service students will be able to plan units of work using the online resources and tools for field experience in Education Queensland or Affiliate schools.

If your university decides to have a small group with level 2 access, the whole subject cohort needs to have level 1 access to the Curriculum Exchange resource centre.

Cost of level 2 access

The annual subscription fee for level 2 access is $27.00 AU (ex GST) per teaching staff and students requiring access.

Subscribers need to include teaching staff members to meet duty of care obligations. A teaching staff member needs to be associated with a cohort of students to ensure purposeful and ethical use in relation to assignments, research or field experience. While on field experience the supervising teacher will need to take on this role. The Principal will need be notified of communication events that involve the school’s students.

Example: If you have 100 pre-service and staff in total and you would like 20 to have full Learning Place Affiliate membership (level 2) the calculation for subscription cost would be: (80 staff and students x $2.50) + (20 staff and students x $27.00) = $740.00 (ex GST).
