1. Homepage Information
Homepage Information allows you to add text under two headings –
Intro Message and Personal Info.
The Introduction is for a welcome message or a greeting
to other learners. Personal Information is stuff about you
that you are happy to share with others.
Simply type text into both of the boxes and continue to scroll down
to Section 2.
2. Upload Image
To add a picture to your homepage obtain a suitable photograph of yourself.
The photo needs to be saved as a gif or a jpeg file. You will have to
either scan a real photograph or take a photograph with a digital camera.
You will need to save your photo file somewhere you can easily access
it.
Keep the size of the photograph in the ratio 3:4 (width:height) so
a photograph 90 pixels wide by 120 pixels high is a good size.
Click on the Browse button located next to the New
Image: text box to find the picture file you have saved.
Click on the Open button when you have selected the
file containing your photo. The file name should then appear in the
New Image: text box. Scroll down to Section 3.
3. Favourite Websites
This section provides you with the opportunity to share your favourite
websites with other learners. You may have websites of your own that
you would like to point others to. There are three fields to be completed
under this section.
Website Name : simply means a short title that explains
the website, i.e. My Modern History site.
Website URL: enter the address (eg http://education.qld.gov.au/happyss/index.html)
Description: provide a bit of detail about the site
so that others can find out the main thrust or features of the site.
When you have completed each of the three sections above, all you need
to do is submit your information to be published. Simply click on the
Submit button. |
