Case of the hazardous cola bottle

This module has been designed to support delivery of competencies from the Certificates in Work Education. For students to attain accreditation, this course should be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), with appropriate scope of registration.

Developed by the Virtual Schooling Service to engage students in remote and rural areas, the unit uses an investigative approach to discuss workplace health and safety issues through the scenario of a workplace accident. The student plays an active part, taking on the role of a Workplace Health and Safety Inspector, investigating the incident. As the unit progresses, students learn about workplace health and safety, determining what contributed to the accident, and how to ensure it does not occur again.
