VET – Certificates in Work education – For Indigenous students

This online VET pathway is designed to prepare students for work, traineeships and vocational education. Specifically aimed at Indigenous students, the unit can also be used with students in school. Target ages are 14 to 19.

These materials are designed to support delivery of competencies from the Certificates in Work Education. For students to attain accreditation, this course should be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with appropriate scope of registration.


 

VET – Certificate 1: Workplace Education – For at risk Indigenous students

The unit has six modules:

  • My business rulz! (GENENP101- Enterprise approach to an approved project)
  • Case of the hazardous cola bottle (GENOHS101 - Describe and practise fundamental occupational health and safety principles and procedures)
  • Job hunters (GENJS101 – Apply job search and interview skills)
  • Career pathways (GENPCD101 – Develop a personal career and learning development plan)
  • Positive vibe (GENPAS101 – Apply knowledge and skills that nurture positive self-esteem and self-image)
  • Workers strike back! (GENIWR101 – Demonstrate foundational knowledge of industrial and workplace relations)
