This course has been prepared as part of the Centre Education Programme's on-line curriculum material, to be used by entry level secondary students (Level 1). It is for young people who exhibit significant gaps in their learning and need a highly supported learning environment. It is also suitable for students in Years 2 to 4 studying Mathematics. It is designed for use by individuals or small groups of students with the support of a teacher or tutor. The course develops students' conceptual understanding of addition and subtraction, and their knowledge of identifying which operation to use to solve problems. Engaging characters are used to solve different mathematical problems, increasing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. |
