This module discusses industrial workplace relations (IWR) using an investigative approach. The student plays an active part as they take on the role of cadet journalist. The module covers skills and knowledge required to gain a basic understanding of industrial and workplace relations and workplace insurance. To better understand this, participants follow the case of Zack, who has been injured at work, has been sacked and is seeking to get his job back. As part of their investigation they learn all about IWR and at the end determine whether an unfair dismissal occurred. |
