How to develop learning activities in Blackboard®

Step 1

Register to join our Teaching in Blackboard Community

This will give you access to develop up to 20 Virtual Classrooms in Blackboard (more if requested). The community space also provides information and support for your work.

Step 2

Logon to LPAS and add a course shell

Once you have joined the Online Learning Community, our Learning Place Administration System (LPAS) will recognise that you are a course developer.

  1. In the Quick start menu (right of screen under Search) select LPAS logon.

Note: Courses developed for your own school's staff or students are called private courses and are not listed in the Learning Place. Private courses can be on-line courses or Virtual Classrooms within the Learning Place.
  5. When your course has been successfully added, a green confirmation message is displayed.

In five minutes your course shell will be set up automatically in Blackboard, so you can do this any time or day.
