Anniversary publication

Administration and public relations

  • Arrange a last meeting of the anniversary committee including representatives of sub-committees.
  • Order further copies of anniversary publication, if required.
  • Place historical material collected/donated for the anniversary in the school archives or library for use by school community.
  • Send school admission registers to

  • Return display material.
  • Write letters of thanks to sponsors/guest speakers.
  • Publish a statement of thanks in the school newsletter/local newspaper.
  • Finalise all accounts/financial records.
  • Present final statement to the last meeting of the anniversary committee.
  • Distribute profits to the school or Parents and Citizens' Association.
  • Develop and archive lists of 'helpful hints' for future anniversary committees in the school archive/library.
  • Ensure recording/archiving the location of time capsule in at least two well known separate places if the location is not already indicated by a plaque in school grounds.
