Education History Collection

The Education History Collection and Service is part of Library Services, Department of Education, Training and the Arts located at the Coorparoo Education Precinct.

Education history client services include a specialist information and referral service.

The collection includes reference materials, syllabus, textbooks, exercise books and copybooks previously used in Queensland schools. Information files on many Queensland schools and topics in education history are available for perusal.

School anniversary booklets have been collected for many Queensland State Schools. Search the online catalogue by school name for holdings.

A large collection of photographs depicting schools and many aspects of educational history is held. Copies of historical photographs are available on request. A small cost is charged for this service.

Kits of selected educational artefacts, including slates and slate pens, teaching aids, and charts are available for loan to Queensland State Schools celebrating anniversaries.
