Core evaluation criteria
Applicable to all resources evaluated for Classroom Resource Reviews in addition to the specific criteria for each format.
Format specific criteria:
We do not review the following formats:
Self-published works
- Resources not published by mainstream publishers or those not having mass media support.
Textbooks
- Texts that are set for whole class use or that are frequently reviewed by associations or subject peers.
Activity books
- Classroom specific resources. (e.g. workbooks to guide interactive activity).
Blackline masters
- Readily available, well-known resources that teachers tend to own.
Reading schemes
- Classroom or library-specific resources.
Tertiary/Adult material
- Tertiary or adult material which cannot be easily utilised in Queensland schools.
