Resource review

Library Services coordinates review services that provide information to schools about resources to support teaching and learning. These services help teachers and teacher-librarians to select the most appropriate materials to support the curriculum.

You review is a project that provides online spaces in which teachers and students can discuss books. Students can upload their reviews into Rave about reading project rooms in The Learning Place. The You review wiki on OnePortal is a place where Education Queensland teachers and teacher-librarians share suggestions about resources to support the curriculum. Contributions to the wiki may be used to inform choices about resource acquisitions and to enhance records in the Library Services catalogue. All contributions are welcomed and, where reviews have been used in the catalogue, contributors are recognised on the Review acknowledgments page.

The Source is a guide by subject to children's fiction, poetry and short stories from around the world, with an emphasis on Australian books.
Access to The Source is provided to all Education Queensland schools and officers. You will need to enter the user id and password provided on this page once in each session. Non-EQ users can access The Source via subscription.

Guidelines have been developed by Education Queensland to assist schools to develop a Learning Resources Selection Policy and form a Resource Selection Advisory Group.
