Listen and learn, Wiser software

Helps to develop grammar, vocabulary, listening comprehension and reading skills through video lessons and activities such as true/false, matching, sequencing, gap-filling, multiple choice.

Real English, Wiser software

All four titles in the series share the same format; media clips form the basis of modules of work which are further sub-divided into units, each unit comprising several exercises. Each exercise has five different activities – matching, sequencing, gap-filling, true/false, and multiple choice.  Access to a dictionary is provided as well as the ability to select and play specified sections of text, and to hear highlighted parts of text read aloud.

Reading for Literacy, Nightingale Software

Addresses learning to read skills as they apply to a comprehensive range of text types, fiction and non-fiction. Activities encourage students to use text for different purposes at text level, sentence level and word level. Suitable for younger learners.

Reading Machine series for learners in the middle years, Dept of Education, Training & Employment, SA

Highly scaffolded, self-paced learning materials. Students are supported in using language features of model texts to practice writing at the level of words, sentences, text segments and whole texts before attempting to write new texts of their own.
