Guidelines ceased at end of Dec 2006. The final 2006 cumulation and computer disks were distributed in February 2007 to subscribers.
As a result, RMIT Publishing's Austguide Online (an electronic index containing all Guidelines and Education Guidelines data from Jan 1986 to Dec 2006) will cease to be updated. A new Magazine index of major current affairs and popular magazines commenced April 2007 and can be accessed via the Newscan web site (new window).
It offers comprehensive coverage; up-to-date production (updated weekly); expert indexing by school librarians; ease of use (indexes online or printed out); and friendly support with feedback welcomed.

The Periodical Centre offers a journal article copying and delivery service providing access to an extensive collection of journal titles indexed in Magazine Index (2007+) and Guidelines (1970 to Dec 2006). View the holdings list.
All Queensland and interstate secondary schools are eligible to join the Periodical Centre. International schools can also subscribe. Membership fees and photocopying charges per page apply.
New Periodical Centre titles lists issues of periodicals recently added to the collection. Select lists of curriculum resources allow quick access to articles on topics of current interest within the key learning areas. All articles listed are available from the Periodical Centre.

) detailing guidelines on how to search for and request
articles may be printed (best in colour) and displayed in the school library
or classroom.
Articles are requested by completing the User's request form.
Prior to sending any
online requests, a Requester Agreement Form (new window

) must be completed, signed and posted or faxed to
the Periodical Centre. This agreement authorises the Periodical Centre to
treat all requests bearing the specified email address as having been signed.
