In order to achieve improved learning outcomes for all students, quality literacy teaching must be the responsibility of every teacher in every classroom and across all phases of learning.
The Literacy Framework acknowledges the vital role of the teacher in student learning and the importance of supporting teachers to respond to diverse student needs.
Implementation of the Framework includes five days of fully-funded literacy professional development for all teachers in Prep, Years 1 to 3, Years 4 to 7 and Years 8 and 9.
