Travel and Accommodation

To support teacher aides in completing the 3 day professional development program the following arrangements have been confirmed.

Accommodation for Teacher Aides will be at venues on the Preferred Accommodation Venues List wherever possible. Breakfast and dinner are to be provided at the accommodation venue up to the maximum of the daily travel allowances. Venues should be advised when the bookings are being made that delegates will require breakfast and dinner. Refer to Directive 07/07 (new window) 101k Adobe PDF document.

The invoice from the accommodation venue is to be forwarded to the Literacy Administrative Officer in the Region for payment. Regions will not be paying individual travel expense claim forms for meals and incidentals.

The training venue will provide one invoice to the Region at the completion of the training for payment for the catering and venue hire costs.

Should teacher aides claim incidental allowances they will need to be paid by individual schools by using the claim form (new window) 208k Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet.

In order to reduce travel costs, it is expected that teacher aides from schools will car pool. The processing of kilometric claims will be done at the Regional Office. Refer to Directive 06/07 (new window) 67k Adobe PDF document and the claim form (new window) 94k Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet.
