Smart Moves: Physical Activity - Effectively managing your class
You are a teaching professional. As such, you have significant knowledge and skills in communication, organisation and management. Also, you are an expert on your class context. However, you may wish to build your confidence teaching in an outside environment, and in selecting and managing physical activities.

This course is not a simple list of games to play with your class.

Similarly, this course is not about sport, sports skills or coaching. It is not about Physical Education or the specialist skills that Physical Education teachers have.

This course will provide you with an understanding of the basic concepts and practical skills for creating and facilitating physical activity with your class.

Students have a wide range of maturities, skills and abilities. In a physical activity environment, you will encounter students who are highly talented sportspeople and those with special needs.

This course will assist you to modify and adapt activities for the safe and inclusive participation of all students in your class.
