International students who enrol in this program undertake junior high school in selected Queensland government schools.
Many students who complete the Junior High School Program choose to enrol in the Senior High School Program in order to complete their high school education in Queensland.
Applications are assessed primarily on the basis of a student's academic records and English language proficiency. Students who have limited English proficiency may be made an offer on the condition that they first successfully complete an intensive English language High School Preparation program (HSP).
For more information, please read our Entry Requirements.
There are currently 41 Queensland government international program high schools accredited to offer the Junior High School Program. See the About Education Queensland International Schools page for more details.
