MoneySmart Teaching program

Knowing how to manage money is one of the most important and challenging features of everyday life. The MoneySmart Teaching program is a comprehensive strategy to develop consumer and financial literacy capabilities in young people throughout their schooling.

MoneySmart Teaching professional development for current and pre-service teachers

Training sessions are planned across the state including schools in remote and regional areas. The program provides fully-funded professional development and resources for teachers to instil responsible financial behaviours to assist young people in making educated financial choices from an early age.

Teachers who complete the training will:

Web conferences via DET's OneChannel website are scheduled throughout the year. To date, MoneySmart Teaching professional development sessions have attracted attendance from across Queensland. Please refer to DET's professional development calendar for scheduled sessions.
