The Improving Teacher Quality National Partnership included the establishment of School Centres of Excellence to provide high quality professional/field experiences to preservice teachers and professional development for teachers.
The aims of the Teacher Education Centres of Excellence include:
Clusters of state schools across Queensland are involved in the Teacher Education Centres of Excellence providing preservice teachers with practical and clinical in-school experiences that will enhance their teaching capabilities and ensure they are classroom and community ready.
Five Teacher Education Centres of Excellence each with a specific focus have been established.
