A range of help and training documents, and resources have been developed to assist users of the OneSchool application. These materials have been produced in recognition of the diversity of preferred learning styles of school staff. Support and training resources can be accessed via the OneSchool application and can be viewed, downloaded to your desktop or printed. This variety of materials caters for needs-based and just-in-time training and support as well as providing a more personalised service to the end user. All support materials have been designed for staff members to use at their own pace, be used in a facilitated training session or be used as help materials when using the application.
In 2008, all teachers were provided with 1.5 hours of TRS for training in the use of the OneSchool application. This release time was funded by Department through OneSchool. Each school's Smart Classrooms Coordinator (SCC), in consultation with their Principal, developed a training plan which reflected the needs of their staff members.
Help and training materials are accessed from within the application via the Help menu. The resources and documents provided have been designed in accordance with the Security Access Levels which are assigned to users of the application and therefore are role-based. For every task performed in OneSchool by each role, a multimedia tutorial and a print document are available. Providing direct access to help and support materials within the application itself ensures users are able to access support when they need it, that is when they are performing a task in OneSchool, without the need to access a secondary website or source.
