New state school for Mackay North area

A new State High School is planned for the Mackay North area. The school will open on Rosewood Drive in January 2013.

Planning is currently underway in consultation with the local community and a reference group has been established.

Facilities

The school hall will be the site for the new Mackay cyclone shelter. That building will be completed by November 2012.
