Redbank Plains - new primary school (PPP)

The Redbank Plains area has experienced significant population growth over the past decade.

To ensure that high-quality educational facilities are accessible to all local students a new primary school for Redbank Plains was included in the Queensland Schools Public Private Partnership announced in December 2013.

The new school will be Prep to Year 6 with stage 1 proposed to be completed by January 2017 and stage 2 having a proposed completion date of January 2019.

Official opening dates have yet to be determined. The newly appointed school principal will decide the official name of the school in coming months with the consultation of relevant local communities.

The school is intended to have a peak enrolment of approximately 750-800 by 2024.
