Information and communications technology (ICT)

Queensland state schools are upgrading their computers and using faster internet connections to bring new and exciting learning opportunities to their students.

State schools offer an education that integrates digital learning technology to prepare students for life in a rapidly-changing, globally-competitive world.

The Learning Place - engaging online games and resources
Queensland state school students and their parents can now access engaging online games and resources from home to reinforce and extend classroom lessons by logging onto 'The Learning Place', the Department of Education, Training and Employment's web learning environment.

Smart Classroom
The Smart Classrooms Strategy provides teachers with a host of tools, networks, platforms and professional development.

Through digital learning resources such as interactive online chats, digital video, oral recordings, blogs, educational games, podcasts and digital storytelling, teaching and learning at all year levels is becoming more innovative and engaging.
