Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

Building strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through learning is a department priority. We work with local communities to improve education outcomes for indigenous students in a range of ways outlined under the department's Closing the Gap Adobe PDF document education strategy.

To effect maximum change, the strategy identifies a small number of targeted outcomes to close the gap:
