Wrapping up a week in the film industry

Nineteen of Queensland's most talented media students recently wrapped up a week of valuable industry experience, including shooting the latest film clip for Brisbane musician Tyrone Noonan.
The Queensland state school students were the successful applicants in the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Film, TV and New Media.
They spent a week in Brisbane (August 2 to 8) taking part in series of hands-on workshops and master classes in film, television and new media.

Cairns State High School student Matthew Brown said the week had been a great learning experience.
'I loved how we were so involved in the film clip process, from camera operating and editing to animation,' Matthew said.
Indooroopilly State High School student Ahmad Halimi, whose film Tick Tock was screened as part of the Brisbane International Film Festival, agreed.
'The whole week was deeply informative. It gave me a great idea of how the industry works,' Ahmad said.
