02 December 2009

Students are running out of time to take part in next year's Creative Generation State Schools Onstage concert with nominations for the event closing on December 11.
The concert is one of Queensland's largest performing arts events and all state school students are invited to nominate.
There are opportunities for featured and backing vocalists, featured and massed dancers, core and massed choir singers, and symphony orchestra and stage band members. Students with their own compositions, physical theatre, circus and roving foyer performers, variety acts, and stage and teacher support crew are also sought.
Music styles will include rock, country, classical, pop, jazz and gospel with a 60-piece symphony orchestra, an up to 1000-voice choir, a stage band, 600 dancers and 30 featured soloists.
Next year's Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage is on at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on July 16 and 17.
