Growing partnerships ... Queensland schools are invited to apply for funding to develop their school-community projects.
Schools throughout Australia are invited to apply for a Schools First award and be in the running to share in $5 million.
Schools First encourages schools to partner with their communities to take learning beyond the blackboard.
Schools need to successfully demonstrate they are involved in a school-community partnership, or are developing a plan to implement a partnership that improves student outcomes.
Schools First is based on Australian Council for Educational Research data highlighting what makes for successful partnerships that lead to improved student outcomes.
Submission are due on August 14.
