27 July 2009

The search is on for female teachers and students who are helping to build brighter futures for women in non-traditional industries.

The Our Women, Our State Awards 2009 are open and the judges are looking for Queensland women and girls who are supporting and encouraging other females in the traditionally male-dominated science, engineering and technology industries.

Female teachers and students are encouraged to nominate for the awards, which are an initiative of the State Government's Office for Women.

Nominations close on September 11 and award winners will each receive $3000, a trophy and a certificate.
