Get involved in writing about art

Arts Queensland is searching for Queensland senior students who want to write about visual art, craft and design.
Write About Art is a competition for senior students to submit essays, interviews or feature stories about a visual art, craft or design exhibition, artist or event they have seen.
Up to 30 students will be mentored by professional arts writers in a full-day workshop in Brisbane in September, followed by online mentoring through the Learning Place.
Eyeline Publishing, which produces Queensland's leading visual arts journal Eyeline, will publish students' finished works in a full-colour magazine.Teachers can register their students' interest through the Learning Place until July 24. Students must submit their essays through the Learning Place by July 31.
