Teachers and students with a taste for quality cinema can get their fill at Cine Sparks 2009, Australia's leading film festival for young people.

Held from July 30 to August 9 as part of the Brisbane International Film Festival, Cine Sparks will showcase more than 20 local and international films and documentaries for ages four to 18.

To encourage as many students as possible to attend, Cine Sparks sponsor TransLink is offering free transport for school groups to screenings.

In addition to the main program at the Australian Cinematheque in the Gallery of Modern Art, the festival will host its first ever Kids Day in the Queen Street Mall on August 2. The festival will also conduct a series of student workshops.
