Fight fire fascination

MARCH 2009

Young people often have a natural curiosity about fire, but when that curiosity turns to inappropriate behaviour the student is at risk, as well as peers and property.

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service's Fight Fire Fascination Program is designed to address the issues these children face. The free, confidential service is for children aged 3 to 17. As part of the program, fire-fighters visit the child's home in a series of meetings to work with the child and his or her family.

If a student in your classroom exhibits signs of fire fascination, visit the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service external page (will open in a new window) website for more information.
