Go with the grain

MARCH 2009

Queensland students can learn more about grains through the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries' Schools Plant Science Competition.

Students from all year groups perform a variety of age-appropriate tasks, such as identifying different grains, growing and observing grain in a germination experiment, or drawing and design activities. Prizes include books and reference materials, as well as medallions and certificates.

Free experiment kits are available upon request.
