Teachers are encouraged to make a submission on Professor Geoff Masters' recommendations for lifting educational standards in primary schools before the consultation period ends on May 29.

Professor Masters' final report, A Shared Challenge: Improving Literacy, Numeracy and Science Learning in Queensland Primary Schools (new window) 1.29mb Adobe PDF document, was presented to Premier Anna Bligh and Education and Training Minister Geoff Wilson on May 1.

The report contains five key recommendations to improve the performance of primary schools in literacy, numeracy and science.

The Queensland Government will consider your submission when developing its response to the report.
