Queensland teachers can take advantage of professional development courses during the 2010 January vacation.

Queensland teachers can improve their literacy, numeracy and science skills and knowledge during the 2010 January vacation.

The professional development courses will help teachers to improve their students' learning outcomes and will be held throughout the state in the weeks beginning January 11 and 18.

The Vacation-Based Professional Development for Teachers program is part of the Literacy and Numeracy National Partnership Initiative to improve literacy, numeracy and science standards and strengthen skills in school communities.

Registrations for the January vacation program close on December 11.
