Redlands students jump the competition to claim gold

A group of primary school students from the Redlands area have skipped their way to international success in the recent Junior Olympics.
Cleveland State School students Madeleine Barker, her young sister Lilly Barker, and Tylah Niha all collected individual gold medals for rope skipping at the event.
The students form part of the all-conquering Cleveland Air Magic skipping team.
Cleveland State School teacher Carolyn Barker said Cleveland Air Magic also achieved strong results in the team events.
'Madeleine Barker and Tylah Niha won overall gold in the 11-12 years open division and fellow Cleveland State School students Claire Zysvelt and Kaitlyn Brown won an overall bronze in the same division,' Ms Barker said.
'Lilly Barker, together with Jaymee Gilbert from Faith Lutheran School, Redlands, achieved great success in the 9-10 years open division, winning silver overall.'
Ms Barker said Cleveland Air Magic also won overall gold in the 11-12 years open pentathlon double-dutch event.
'We also invited members from other Australian teams to join us for the junior group routine, winning a silver medal in the process,' she said.
