Vaccination program for Human Swine Flu
20 October 2009

Schools are urged to notify their staff and parents about a vaccination program for the H1N1 influenza virus (Human Swine Flu) which is being rolled out across the country.
Since the outbreak of the virus, Queensland Health has been working closely with other government agencies and the community to promote awareness of the virus and measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
Queensland Health has advised the latest step in the pandemic response is a vaccination program which began throughout Australia on September 30.
Schools are asked to distribute information about the program via a letter to parents, carers and staff in their school newsletter or other means.
The letter is available to download from the Department of Education and Training website
(PDF).
Schools are also invited to add to their websites the link to the Queensland Health website
, which contains more detailed information.
