Hot issue ... A shortened version of acclaimed documentary, The Burning Season, will be televised on ABC1 on September 30.
Teachers with a passion for the environment are encouraged to view The Burning Season, which will be televised later this month on free-to-air television.
The film is the uplifting story of a young man trying to save the orang-utan from extinction while making a real impact on climate change.
A shortened version will screen on ABC1 on September 30 at 11am.
Since it first aired in October 2008, the film has won numerous awards including the IF AWARD for Best Australian Feature Documentary.
