Queensland teachers with an interest in Indigenous education are invited to attend the inaugural national Stronger Smarter Summit this month.
The summit is hosted by the Indigenous Education Leadership Institute and will be held in Brisbane from September 28 to 29.
The summit will be opened by Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard and will feature workshops and panel discussions with some of Australia's foremost Indigenous education experts.
Leading Indigenous educator Dr Chris Sarra will showcase schools from the Indigenous Education Leadership Institute's Stronger Smarter Schools Community, outlining some of the changes they have introduced to 'close the gap' in these schools.
