Livewire community
15 September 2009
The Starlight Children's Foundation has created a free online community for young people aged 10 and over living with a disability, serious illness or chronic health condition.
Livewire was developed as a safe and supportive online space where young people can develop their communication and computer literacy skills and share experiences.
Livewire members can socialise in chat rooms, create blogs and enter competitions.
Chat hosts and moderators trained in adolescent health are online seven days a week to ensure that Livewire remains a fun and supportive place.
