Women's fun run benefits cancer care
02 February 2010

Schools have been invited to accept the challenge and participate in the RACQ Insurance International Women's Day Fun Run/Walk in Brisbane on March 7.
Organisers at Brisbane Road Runners Club are keen to see school groups challenge past winner Redeemer College, Rochedale, for the schools trophy awarded for most participants.
The event, for female runners and walkers only, attracted 6,500 last year. It benefits Chicks in Pink, a group supporting the care and treatment of breast cancer patients at the Mater Public and Private Hospitals.
The 5km run/walk starts at 7am and finishes in the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank Parklands.
It is open to schools, individuals and corporate teams.
