Defence scholarships information

Schools with Year 11 and 12 students interested in Australian Defence Force (ADF) technical trade careers should be aware that the mailout of Defence Technical Scholarship (DTS) information packs began on February 1, with completed applications due to be lodged by midnight on March 11.

The DTS administration team has said late nominations will only be accepted subject to prior arrangement and under exceptional circumstances, including flood-affected areas.

Schools expecting problems with the deadline of March 11 are urged to call the DTS Infoline on 1300 880 818 or email DTS@dataresponse.com.au for further advice.

The Defence Technical Scholarship offers financial incentives for Year 11 students ($2000) and Year 12 students ($3000) to stay on at school and study specific subjects and begin a trade with the defence force after graduation.
