Free workshop for kindergarten staff

The Office for Early Childhood Education and Care is presenting a free workshop for kindergarten staff on about the importance of including children with disabilities on February 12 in Brisbane.

Including children with disabilities in kindergarten programs: the why, the how,on February 12 in Brisbane, to be facilitated by disability in education expert Associate Professor Bob Jackson, supports Queensland's commitment to provide universal access to kindergarten for all children and will cover key issues of inclusion and strategies to successfully include children with disabilities.

Workshop themes will include why it is important to include children with disabilities in kindergartens, what inclusion means and the responsibilities of kindergarten staff in the process.

The workshop will be held at a central Brisbane venue to be announced and registration closes on February 9.
