Leadership program for principals
31 January 2011
Applications from principals wishing to take part in the 2011 Leading Australia's Schools program close on February 18.
Participants in this challenging national leadership program for high-performing principals are drawn from all sectors and levels of schooling.
The program aims to support good principals to become great leaders by building professional knowledge and leadership skills for the 21st century, and making an ongoing contribution to the profession.
The 2011 program will be offered by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL), in partnership with the Hay Group and the University of Melbourne. It is open to all principals across Australia.
Two groups of 40 principals each will be selected this year.
The program will involve pre-course work, a five-day residential program, a two-day recall session and a school-based leadership challenge project.
Residential components will be conducted at the University of Melbourne Business School, Carlton, Victoria, with all program costs, travel and accommodation for successful applicants provided by AITSL.
Further details and application information are available on the AITSL website. For enquiries email LASApplication@aitsl.edu.au.
