Equipment on offer for disaster-hit schools

Flood and cyclone-affected state schools have until June 30 to apply for equipment packages on offer from the Telstra Assistance Fund.

While sporting equipment available through the fund is restricted to community groups and clubs, state schools are eligible to apply for dance and music equipment.

Two dance packs on offer - for conditioning and audiovisual work - include things like exercise balls, mats, iPods, digital recorders and DVDs.

The music packages are divided into orchestra, contemporary and recording and feature instruments, amps, mixer equipment and speakers.
