Name a crane at new children's hospital site

November 2 2011

A fun activity is on offer for Queensland children aged 3-14 with a competition to name the cranes helping build the new Queensland Children's Hospital.

Students, teachers or parents can visit the Queensland Children's Hospital website to download two 'name the cranes' colouring-in pictures. Entries, to be signed by a parent, close on November 11.

The new Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) is currently under construction and due to open in late 2014 in South Brisbane.

The name the cranes competition aims to help students and the wider community learn about the project.

When complete, it will be Queensland's major specialist children's hospital, combining the services of the Royal Children's Hospital and the Mater Children's Hospital into a single new entity.

Six winners will be chosen and invited to Brisbane for a special crane naming ceremony. The winners will also receive a prize pack including a $100 movie voucher.
