State schools requiring marketing assistance can now benefit from a free consultancy service provided by the Department of Education and Training's Corporate Communication and Marketing (CCM) branch.

The service is part of the department's parent engagement strategy which aims to raise public awareness of the high standards of Queensland state schools.

In addition to providing one-on-one consultations with schools, the strategy comprises increased media support for schools, the production of school YouTube videos, a revamped Parents and Carers website and a partnership with the Websites for Schools project to help roll out a more user-friendly school website format.

Full-time parent engagement consultants are now based in Brisbane and Cairns. However, schools throughout Queensland can access the service.

Principals seeking more information about the parent engagement strategy or CCM's consultation services are invited to telephone Claire Going on (07) 3235 4200 or email claire.going@deta.qld.gov.au.
