With principal Fiona Clein.

Jericho State School.

Where is Jericho State School?
We are located approximately 210 km west of Emerald in the Central West education district.

When did it open?
On February 20, 1888.

How did the school get its name?
Apparently someone decided that the town should be named Jericho as it was on the Jordon River, which itself was named after one of the early settlers in the area.

How many students?

How many staff?
Six including me. We have two teacher aides, and an administration officer, cleaner and gardener.

How long have you been principal at the school?
Seven years.

Best thing about your school?
I love the family atmosphere that a small school offers. The children are safe and happy and we don't experience any bullying.

Claim to fame?
We are a member of the Outback Advantage, which is a group of 13 small schools in the district that work together to create curriculum.

What's your school motto?
Achievement and Honour.
